Additional Folder Views
Additional Folder Views is a Thunderbird add-on enhances the new unread-favorite-recent folder views of Thunderbird 2.0. It adds a new folders treeview above the standard one.

You are more than welcome to contribute to this extension. Ideas to improve this add-on
This extension uses the same code that Thunderbird 2.0 introduced to support favorite, unread, and recent folders view. For this reason, it's somehow difficult to add new features that are not included in the default distribution of Thunderbird 2.0. And this is true not only for additional features, but also for bugs affecting this new functionality in Thunderbird 2.0. Here is the list of features that cannot be addressed directly and/or easily in this extension:
- Feature request: Ability to arrange the order of folders.
- Feature request: Turn off a folder from being utilized in the "Unread Folders" screen.
- Known issue: With two or more IMAP accounts: for some reason, their respective inboxes' positions change back and forth.
- Known issue: Remove folders from the Unread Folders view when the folder has been read.
